Chelsea Clinton gets married

While the Clintons where in Rhinebeck, NY celebrating Chelseas wedding, my staff was busy training dogs.

Missy is done with her training and went back to the Charlestown Shelter and will hopefully get adopted very shortly.

Missy hangs out with a volunteer at the Charlestown Animal Shelter

Harley who went home yesterday hangs out in the kids play room in a downtsay

Harley back home after a wonderful 2 weeks of board and train....he is doing incredible, a total transformation

Ellen Degeneres quits American idol

It has been a few days since I last posted, time to get lots of photos up,

Luna in a downstay, Luna is a silver lab puppy who is with us for an intensive 6 week board and train and loves to learn.

Luna in a downstay with high levels of distractions, lots of dogs all around. Harley has totally transformed and is going home tomorrow. It should be interesting to see how his training transfers to his owners.

On the outdoor dog couch, the dogs are allowed on since my personal pack lives outside with 24 access to a indoor room either with a/c or heat depending on the season. The couch is under a 12 X 40 foot sunporch  and are protected from the elements. Since I work most of my dogs they are more than happy to relax whenever they are home. Missy, who is up for adoption and will be at the Charlestown Shelter open house this weekend. She is ready to go to a home. She is a great dog, loves being around people and dogs, does not bite or nip any more. Listens to all of her commands, and to the dog trainer who wrote into the Westerly Sun talking trash about me after a wonderful article was written about me and the great job I was doing for Missy, well you can GO FUCK YOURSELF!! How dare you criticize me for saving the life of this dog.

Not quite sure what command Jon is working on with Obi, but it seems to be going quite well.

Clover and Romy swim while Stephanie does a little poop patrol in the pool area

Dante who is with us for a little behavioral issue of biting kids on the face, stays in a downstay while Romy runs by.

Romy and Clover run around Maverick in circles and are great distractions to him.

Uma and Bella run around Dante, who is in a downstay, we just got a new delivery of pool toys and the dogs put them into great use.

A shipment of 40 or so of flotable tuff toys just came in today. These should last till the end of the summer hopefully.

Leon and Chiko have a great time in the play yard.

Chiko gets under a bush to stay cool from the summer sun.

Harley and Dante take a break from a very busy training day.

Dante goes for a nice swim. we always keep a leash on the dogs when they are learning to swim so we can drag them to the shallow end if we need to.

Face Transplant a success

Not only was the first Face Transplant a huge success as reported in the news today, and not quite as big for modern science but big for our family was the trip that Romy made to the toilet today...a very successful #1 and #2. So not only does Romy who is 3 years old train dogs but she is doing it sans diaper.

Last dash to the potty before ballet class..the girl has timing

Dante the American Eskimo came in today is getting along just fine with all of the dogs on campus.

So Harley went on a pack walk tonight and big bad Harley was out of breath halfway through, we had to pull over and take a break for Harley. the other 7 dogs were like WTF, they made fun of him the rest of the way back to the van, called him fatty, slopoke, telling him he looked more like a cow than a dog...I have never heard such teasing, dogs can be so cruel to each other.

As soon as we got back to the kennel, I put a note on Harley's kennel to cut his food per day and up his treadmill and swimming work. The boy has been with us for 1 week and we need to get him into shape.

Missy, who is up for adoption, is a great greater of new dogs, and Luna is a great player.

My pack patiently waits while Harley gets ready to continue our walk.

Wiki Leaks is scary

Lots of great things happening at the board and train facility. Dog are doing so well and staying cool by swimming in the pool and under the misting area of the play yard. Unlike most facilities our pool is a real gunite in ground pool not a kiddie pool. Dogs learn to swim and socialize in a high energy pool area.

Clover plays with dogs in the pool, all of the dogs learn to behave properly when kids are around.

Romy strengthens her swimming technique by pooling around Clover on her kickboard...yep she is only 3 years old and has a great fitness regiment

Jonathan does some intense distraction with Emily in a downstay

Dallas a 10 wk old GSD learns the place command in about 30 minutes with my training techniques..with 5 human kids in the family it is so important that this soon to be large dog learns some incredible household mgmt skills

Chiko and Harley in a sit/stay in Wayland square with lots of distractions. Both dogs have HUGE human biting issues and did great with all of the human distractions

Obi greats the newest dog on the property Luna is a silver lab and at 7 months old will be with us for a 6 week intensive board and train program

Otis a 7 month old French Mastiff helps out with a 12 week old dog in doing a great downstay...

Comic Con begins

One of the great things about my board and train  program is the pack training that I do. The only way to socialize a dog wether it is dog aggressive or dog shy is with a pack of dogs. Pack training has to be done off leash, this is the only way to get it done. I have seen other trainers, mostly at animal shelters that take 2 dogs and have them on leashes and have humans holding them and having the dogs interact to see if they get along. That is one of the stupidest things you can do with 2 dogs. They most likely will fight, I am not sure why people  don't put 2 dogs in an enclosed area and act like a pack leader and send out "don't fight on my watch" energy and see what happens.

Gillary with his butt to the camera is just figuring out what dog play is. the other dogs are running around playing and he is not sure what to do. He does not understand what to do with the energy that he has as a response to the energy that is coming from the other 4 dogs playing. So, I observe him for about 1 hour and let him no when he is not behaving properly, he gets it and starts playing with the dogs at the end of the hour.

these dogs have no problem playing and playing

Otis and Emma go home Friday and have had an incredible 2 weeks of work and play.

Stephanie helps out Harley in the pool area. He has taken to the water in a big way.

last night I took 8 dogs on a nice 3.5 miler end of the day training walk...what a great time we have.

Harley heads to the East Side

We are having so much fun with Harley. This is a dog that had so many issues that were quite dangerous to be around him. We are making so much progress.

Harley works on his down/stay on the property prior to going out into the real world with lots of distractions

Harley and Maverick work on downstays

into Wayland Square, with lots of distractions Harley works on his downstay, this is so important that we proof his commands in REAL WORLD situations so the dogs understand what is expected of them.

Harley is asking nicely if he can spend a couple of more weeks with me since he is learning so much and becoming a better dog because of it. At this point in Harleys training I can do anything with him I want to. I can go into his kennel, put my hands anywhere on his body, look at this teeth, clean his ears, cut his nails, stick my hands in his mouth.

During down time the dogs love getting a quick bit of affection. Yes I give the dogs about  5 minutes of affection every 24 hours..I know....I know...that is way to much...I am getting soft

Gillary who has lots of different issues is doing really well, he is taking a nice little rest outside in the misting area

Lindsay Lohan Jailed

One of the most exciting things that I do is work with a dog that 99.9% of the dog trainers after seeing a dog would insist that the dog be put down, because of aggression. What they are admitting to is that they actually suck as a trainer and they don't have the skills or the courage to actually work with. The more and more trainers that insist on using the clicker/food training which is pretty much a springboard to agility work and does not have much to do with the REAL WORLD, the more and more untrained dogs that we will have in homes and in shelters.

this is Harley before I started working with him.

This is Harley after less than a week at my board and train facility. He is doing great and in the next 48 my kids will start working with him. So if you have a dog that has aggression issues I have the experience, the training and the balls to work with your dog in a way that your dog will understand and is extremely primal and gentle with your dog. No one in the area does the work my staff and I do.

Uma helps out with Polar who is only 12 weeks old, Uma helps with the socialization of young puppies.

Today I had one of my youngest clients an 8 week old GSD, I went to the clients house to make sure the dog/dog play was going well, the had the food program correct, the crate training and household mgmt correct and they start off on the correct foot

Maverick doing a downstay inside the kennel while cleaning gets done. We always put dogs in downstays or place while we clean, simulates what would be happening at their home, thats assuming that they clean

Max, Emma and Otis are a little tired after a hard days work.

Emily and Gillary work on downstays together. Gillary came to us with some dog/dog issues and we are working on them.

my morning 8 pack...yes....6 dogs and then the 2 chihuahua's count as dogs and they walked the 3.5 miles in less than an hour with the rest of the other dogs.

BP has seepage

Did it rain by you today? we had quite the rain/thunder storm. A little flash flooding and all of the dogs enjoyed the cooling rain. We are making such nice progress with some really aggressive dogs. The best thing about working with aggressive dogs is making it through the first 48 hours alive, and then after that it is all good.

Harley who would love to take a bite out of anything that remotely taste like human flesh when he first came in. is LOVING the training, has been engaging other dogs in play and is doing really well.

Though cutting his nails which looks like have not been done since Harley was invitro, we decided to muzzle him just to make sure we he did not want to play cowboys and indians and scalp us.

Chiko who is down from Canada and with us for a 6 week board and train, goes through his commands with Clover, as I tell people, my 5 year old can walk your highly aggressive dog with my training methods. Which are best on pack leader training and techniques.

and Romy who is 3 can run Chiko through his paces and heel a dog without pulling. and to all of you other trainers that tell people that the only reason that dogs listen to me is because we are rough with them. try telling that to my 3 year old.

somebody things Clover is the pack leader, 3 weeks ago would have had her face ripped off by this dog, no joke

Will The BP cap hold?

Sunday's are always a combination of busy and relaxed as the dogs can take a partial break from the intense training that goes on each day. The dogs still swim, walk, and play.

Romy loves to swim with the dogs and the dogs love swimming with her.

Decklyn came over for some swim time with Obi who just came in today for a nice 2 week stay.

Clover comes out of the pool after swimming with the dogs.

After a hard day of swimming and training dogs it is important that she gets recharged

Remy who is up for adoption and the last puppy that we have for adoption. this is a well socialized and well behaved puppy.

Emily works on her commands next to the pool, she needs to increase her confidence and with the training that we are doing with her.

Emiily doing a sit/stay with high levels of distractions

Heidi does some yard maintenance with a little help from the kids..

Does Mel Gibson have a dog?

Great new dogs have come into our kennel this week and we are having so much fun with them.

Emily came to us a very nervous dog, but with good obedience skills. Becoming part of my pack for 2 weeks will be so therapeutic and helpful for her overall psyche.

Who wants to go on a walk next?

Maverick who came in yesterday is a Besenji with severe seperation anxiety. Bianca is winding down her stay with me after 3 weeks.

Emily, Chiko and Berger love to train,

One of the puppies loves to play with the kids in the pool...she has so much confidence at such a young age

Harley, who came to me today is over 100lb and has quite the mean streak. It should be quite interesting few weeks with him.

keeping his leash on in case we need to grab him quick if there is a dog/dog issue

Harley making friends with the puppy and also Chiko, the puppy shown is the last one that we have to adopt out.

Day one and look who is swimming. Swimming it going to be a big part of Harley's training and rehab.

Emma and Otis love to play with the puppy, the puppy is very socialized
