Hi Jeff, Another great video starring one of my favorite dogs : ) I was wondering if you could comment on when you would use "place" vs "down". For example, if you are at Starbucks do you use the Place command or the Down command? Would it be safe to assume that the "down" is more for a brief time when out in public and the "place" is more for a prolonged period? Thanks -- Ray

great question..cafe's and outdoor eating situation where you do not want your dog to get up from a down is the DOWN command...if your dog is in PLACE and someone approaches to pet your dog or to your table..your dog is allowed to get up..and you cannot correct them for this....so Down command (which means downstay, we don't say stay when we say down) the dog stays in the down command no matter what happens.
